Animal Husbandry

The Animal Husbandry carries out disease control, breed improvement programmes and fodder development. Simultaneously, it manages livestock farms consisting of cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits and poultry. The department also deals with equine disease control programme and equine husbandry activities with emphasis on development of pack animals. Along these the department is also controlling zoonotic diseases which are hazardous to public health.
